NIKE – THE REC
The Story: To connect with local runners, Nike asked us to create a combined retail space and runner’s gathering place on Venice Boardwalk. The pop-up environment needed to provide areas for retail, relaxation, history, memorabilia and runner’s route maps.
The challenges were not insignificant: Utilize an existing historical space without disturbing any of the structure; make the environment inviting to runners but not to undesirable boardwalk dwellers; show Nike as a local running supporter rather than an uncaring corporation.
The Work: Our graphic design, video and events teams came together to put the experience together in a matter of weeks.
The result was that Nike outsold their expectations and had multiple parties to celebrate their connections with local running clubs.
