SEGERSTROM SHELBY EVENTS CENTER
THE STORY: The Segerstrom Shelby Event Center serves several purposes. One is to display the Segerstrom's fantastic collection of Shelby automobiles and thereby provide a unique event space among these gems. Another is to tell the story of the legendary Carroll Shelby, the force of nature behind the vehicles. The last and probably most important reason is to raise funds for three charities.
MY ROLE: This was a Swiss Army Knife opportunity. As the Creative Director and Curator, it allowed me to develop the visitor experience, write, design, art direct, edit, direct and produce videos, and design and write the website. Working with internal and external resources, we crafted a linear storytelling experience punctuated with archival images and artifacts and, of course, great cars. These efforts led to an experience fit for car enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
